We are recruiting for our next HR/People BP (Human Resources/People Business Partner) Retail for the region of Western Europe that englobes Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH), Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg (Benelux), UK and Ireland

WHAT IS A PEOPLE BP RETAIL AT MANGO?

Working alongside the Retail Country Director and the leadership team of the market, and reporting to the People Retail Director, the HR/People BP Retail will codesign and implement a HR/People strategy that helps to attract the best talent as well as to develop, motivate and retain our retail collaborators, supporting the business to reach its goals within the assigned market.

The HR/People BP Retail will lead the 3 HR/People Coordinators, dedicated to the market and spread out geographically throughout the territory, to ensure that the market’s HR/People strategy is executed, daily Retail HR/People matters are managed successfully and timely, and HR/People processes  and policies are in accordance with the global HR/people framework of the company and adapted to the market’s reality, in order to maximize business results and provide our retail collaborators with the best experience.

In your day-to-day activities...

TALENT & TRAINING

  • Ensure the MANGO global talent attraction, hiring and onboarding are efficient and adapted to the needs of the business and the different markets, as well to the company’s global framework and culture
  • Define and implement/execute the hiring strategy in the region to ensure all roles are covered in the minimum timings and giving a perfect candidate experience
  • Ensure the smooth integration of new team-members in the market of responsibility  
  • Work closely with the Retail & Talent teams, to identify and develop high potentials, ensuring a robust succession plan and preparing the future leaders of retail
  • Provide advice, support and guidance to retail leaders on the follow up and evaluation of their teams
  • Work with the Talent team, to make sure appropriate trainings are identified, generated, calendarized and implemented, to assist the retail team-members and business reach their KPIs and goals. Follow up on all training actions, to provide constant feedback to both Retail and People, and find adequate solutions, quickly adapting to the reality of the stores

EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE

  • Be the ambassador of and spread the MANGO culture and values throughout every store of the company in the market, ensuring high levels of engagement from all retail team-members
  • Collaborate with colleagues from the different areas of People, such as Internal Communication, Labor & Payroll, Health & Safety, Talent and Rewards, to roll out projects or work in devising solutions for daily business HR needs
  • Be the liaison (“First Point of Contact”) between HQ in Spain, and the retail team, ensuring an adequate and efficient information flow

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS 

  • Alongside the market’s leadership, review remuneration of retail team-members as needed (e.g. in case of promotions, horizontal changes, etc.), ensuring compliance with internal policies and organizational structure
  • Identify opportunities for Compensation & Benefits models that mat respond to the market’s specific needs/characteristics 

BUSINESS STRATEGY & ORGANIZATION

  • Follow up of HR metrics and detection of critical areas that affect retail, such as absenteeism or leavers. Devise/propose solutions to the market’s retail leaders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in organizational design & change management
  • Translate business strategies into HR initiatives
  • Provide support to retail leaders on employee relations, conflict resolution & mediation matters. Act as a trusted partner in negotiations with Work Councils and other representative bodies
YOUR PROFILE

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

  • Experience: at least 5 years in a HR leadership role, in international retail (and ideally 2 years minimum of managing a team between 2 and 4 people)
  • Proficiency in English and German on a native level is required. Additional knowledge of the following languages is valued: French, Italian, Dutch or Spanish
  • Experience in dealing with/managing Working Councils and similar representative bodies in Germany is essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of general Labor rules in one of the countries contained in the market is highly important (preferably in Germany)
  • High degree of autonomy and managing teams remotely is required
  • Ability to empathize with peers and other members of the wider Mango team
  • Team-spirited and resilient
  • Knowledge and experience within an international HR scope and retail company (intercultural awareness)
  • Highly adaptable and approachable professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, embracing diversity and inclusion
  • Previous experience in working for HR in companies undergoing a cultural and structural transformation is highly valued
  • Availability to travel (mainly within assigned market) up to 70% of the time is required
