Become one of our 20 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile. Your trainee year will be filled with meet-ups with your international trainee team with likeminded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings. Your role as an International Trainee as Strategy Advisor Offshore Wind As a trainee you will be located in the Business Improvement department within the Business Unit Offshore. This unit is a strategic oriented function proactively advising on relevant strategic topics to support decision makers in steering our Offshore business towards the Vattenfall purpose. This includes tasks like executing larger cross functional projects related to our operating model and acting as right-hand support to the Head of our Offshore Business Unit. You will work alongside a team of experienced project managers, developing your own project management skills, strategic thinking and offshore industry knowledge. Your daily activities: • The week will start off with a team meeting within the Business Improvement unit, where we all share topics and priorities for the week • A large share of your time will be on project work, being part of a project team. Here you will be responsible to drive tasks yourself. Often this is done by engaging with the organization. A typical assignment can relate to refining our operating model or running a quantitative analysis • During the week you will spend time in meetings and workshops talking to your project members to discuss progress and working with your stakeholders. Afterwards you will use some of your time to produce project documents, prepare decision material and presentations for senior management Who are you? As an International Trainee – Strategy Advisor Offshore Wind you recognize yourself in the following: • You have a relevant Master’s degree, for example from Economics, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration, and a minimum of 6 months of international experience from working, studying or voluntary work • During your studies you have gained first experiences/skills in dealing with strategic issues, potentially through an internship in a business development function or in management consulting • You are intrigued by challenging and demanding assignments and you have proven your analytical thinking • You thrive working in a team (also in a virtual set-up) and enjoy building relationships with our stakeholders. Similarly, you are not afraid to ask questions • You are our ideal trainee if you are a recent graduate with an academic degree or you will be graduating before September 2021. You are fluent in English. Skills in other world languages are a plus. You are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe. Location You will be working in the department Business Improvement and the position is located in one of our office locations in Hamburg (Germany), London (England), Amsterdam (The Netherlands) or Kolding (Denmark).
