Was wir bieten The CCO (Chief Commercial Officer) Community has responsibility for innovation management, supply chain management, Central Marketing and the commercial activities of our business units. This includes the Polyurethanes, Polycarbonates, and CAS (Coatings, Adhesives and Specialties) segments. Within Specialty Films of the CAS business unit, BayfolHX is a new innovative film technology for diffractive lightguiding based on ultra-thin volume Holographic Optical Elements. Application development within Holographic Lightguiding (HLG) offers our global partner and customer portfolio support in laser exposure of BayfolHX and also support for the development of customer-specific integration solutions in demanding applications. Your tasks in detail: • Interdisciplinary collaboration at the interface between our technical team and the Intellectual Property (IP) department • Analyze Covestro’s relevant IP portfolio and that of selected third parties by studying and assessing the technology protected by patents in order to structure an “IP landscape” in the field of optics for augmented reality • Identify opportunities and potential risks in the IP landscape to form a sound basis for strategic business decisions • You will support an industry project with tasks in our Project Management Office (PMO) • In addition to the PMO, you will contribute from a technical view on the marketing activities to promote project outcomes Was Sie mitbringen • You are currently studying applied physics, engineering, or a similar fitting degree ideally with a focus on optical technologies • Basic knowledge of intellectual property rights is needed • You are confident using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel) • You’re able to multi-task and work independently and on tight deadlines • Additionally have excellent attention to detail • You combine strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to work out key messages • Lastly, you speak English on a professional level and preferably German The internship starting date is the 15th of Mai (later starting date possible) with a duration of 4 to 6 months. There is also the possibility of a mandatory internship for the duration prescribed by the examination/ study regulations.
