Become one of our 20 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile. Next to your personal development in this unique position you will be enjoying one year of all we have to offer. Your trainee year will be filled with meet-ups with your international trainee team with likeminded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings. Your role as a Trainee – Procurement Excellence Your daily activities: • Develop knowledge of our Procurement processes as well as managing a Service Provider • Develop SAP knowledge (module MM) • Support relationship management with internal stakeholders and the service provider • Assist with coordinating daily work distribution and hand-offs from the internal Procurement / Business organization to the service provider • Conduct performance checks and suggest corrective measures • Create reports and support with optimization of reporting and analysis • Contribute to the continuous improvement • Bring in new ideas and challenge the existing organization • Take an active role in the team meetings • Support with ad-hoc operational activities Who are you? As a Trainee – Procurement Excellence you recognize yourself in the following: • Master’s degree in economics, business informatics, industrial management (including the field of supply chain management or procurement) or any other comparable degree • Highly interested in Procurement and the energy industry • Strong analytical skills, communication and presentation skills • Business awareness / commercial mindset • Team player who actively engages with people by asking, sharing, helping or asking for help • Strong networking skills and ability to communicate with different stakeholders • Organized, proactive and results oriented • Good MS Excel and PowerPoint skills, basic SAP knowledge is beneficial • Fluent in English and German You are our ideal trainee if you are a recent graduate with an academic degree or you graduate before September 2021. You are fluent in English. Skills in other world languages can be a merit. You are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe. Location You will be working in the department of Procurement Excellence and the location for this position is flexible (preferred: Berlin).
