The Treasury and Tax Office provides the financial foundation for one of Germany’s largest cities. The “IT Finance, Infrastructure, and Applications” division serves as the interface between IT and the line departments and is responsible for the procurement of hardware and software. IT contract and license management, IT policy, IT security, and data protection are also part of the unit’s responsibilities. It provides and supports applications in the areas of budget planning and financial services, procurement and contract management products, as well as approximately 20 other specialized systems, many of which are citywide.
For this interesting position, we are seeking, to start as soon as possible, a:
Application Administrator (f/m/d) IT Finance: Fundamentals and Applications
Full-time, Part-time
Pay Grade 11, TVöD
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and organizing the deployment, administration, and support of IT systems in the City Treasury as well as in the Cashier’s and Tax Office
- Conducting IT error management (error documentation, classification, and analysis)
- IT project management for the further development of applications and the introduction of new technologies
- Implementing legal requirements, including municipal regulations and guidelines within the scope of responsibilities
- Regularly conducting technical reviews of IT applications
- Providing guidance, advice, and support to users and managers on issues related to the deployment, maintenance, and expansion of IT processes within the area of responsibility
- Conducting IT procurements and invoice verification, as well as providing support for contract management for hardware, software, and services
You bring the following:
- A completed, relevant college degree (bachelor’s) with a focus on IT, or a completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist with many years of professional experience
- Relevant professional experience and comprehensive technical knowledge in the areas of the tasks described above
- Business expertise and knowledge of procurement and contract management are desirable
- An independent, systematic, and collaborative work style
- Analytical thinking and the ability to work well in a team
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Confidence in written communication and oral presentations
- Diversity competence
