Job Title: Collective Bargaining Employee Pay Grade: E12 TV-L Contract Type: Permanent Your responsibilities include: As a data management specialist, you will be responsible for establishing a standardized database for calculating all key performance indicators and for further developing a data warehouse system. In doing so, you will apply data analysis methods to address changing, complex issues within the Berlin Fire Department and collaborate with the data analysis and visualization team as part of staff support during special emergency operations. Your responsibilities will also include, among other things: Configuration and administration of common software solutions in the field of data analytics Analysis and, if necessary, adaptation of existing and future applications, as well as implementation of complex scripts for the further development of the data management system Presentation and analysis of all key performance indicators, as well as support for the controlling departments in the creation and further development of metric-based reports for agency leadership Processing of large, operation-related data sets The job requirements (JR) are part of the job posting and can be found under “Further Information.” The job requirements serve as the binding basis for the selection decision. You should have: a completed university degree with a bachelor’s degree or a university of applied sciences (FH) diploma in Data Science / Data Analytics or comparable fields of study (Computer Science / Computational Science, Geodata Management, or Business Informatics) and at least 3 years of professional experience in IT Experience required to perform the job duties: with statistical and visualization techniques, in the collection, analysis, and evaluation of key metrics, and in the creation of dashboards in working with the query languages SQL and PL-SQL, version control systems, unit tests, and data management systems (data warehouses) Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables Additional desirable experience can be found in the attached job description.
